I knew I would rate this property highly after 1 night: it is run like a hotel, room and WC cleaned daily new towels each day. Manager Marina is extra attentive to your touristic needs

I stayed 3 night in this hotel, with my parents in law and I should stay Marina has been very very helpful. She help us with all our need, (tours, restaurant, town), the hotel is very clean with hot water and within 2 minute walk from the station and 5 minutes to the plaza of armas. If you have any question about the attraction, the things to see or trekking, Marina is the one you need to speak to. She has been very friendly and a very good host, very good value for money. Will be back....

I can not rate this hostel any higher due to the fact that the landlady Marina was amazing. She was the most friendly and helpful person ever, even though she spoke no English and us little Spanish, we just seemed to understand each other. For my girlfriends birthday, she made us pancakes for breakfast and bought a big birthday cake. Marina also helped us with info to the thermals and how to walk the Colca Canyon independently. Our room was clean, water was hot ..

We stayed in Kollawas to visit the Colca Canon. We didn´t want to book an expensive tour from arequipa so we just went on our own to Chivay. The owner of the hostel is very friendly and helpfull. She has a lot of information about the Colca Canon and she offers different tours for a very good prices, including your trip back to Arequipa or Puno. We would definitely recommend to book a tour in this hostel instead of booking it in Arequipa.

The owner was very helpful and friendly, arranging for a very reasonable tour of Colca Canyon then on to Arequipa for me. I had my own room and bath for a very reasonable price, and the breakfast included an egg, bread, jam, butter, juice and coffee or tea. It was only a short walk to the plaza and bus station as well. There´s a great coffee shop on the NE corner of the plaza, too.

Marina was gentle and friendly since we met her. She helped us a lot providing information about places and tours, even going with us to the bus station. She always had an smile and lots of minutes for us in order to give us enough information to make our plans, even listening our new and new questions... Rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and warm thanks to the calefaction that does not involves surcharges. There is a restaurant at the first floor, so we did not have to be worried about food.

Really nice staff! This is kind of a simple and small hotel, but everything was really nice though. We felt really good in there and the manager was absolutely courteous. We arrived late, around 21pm and we're received with hot tea and a heater in our room. Good shower too. Totally recommended for the price.

There was no wifi, and the water in the shower wasn't very hot, but otherwise, this was the perfect place to stay and the owner was very friendly and helpful!

I cannot say enough good things about our host, Marina. She picked us up at the bus station when we arrived and made out stay fabulous. Even though she spoke very little English, she was able to help us immensely in our travel plans. If I could rate the staff/service here above a 10, I would. The breakfast was excellent here and the rooms were basic but clean. Showers were nice and hot as well. The rooms can get cold but Marina offered us a heater on our 2nd night. Thank you, Marina!

The owner of the Hostel was in Arequipa to buy some things. However, even though she was not there, she called us to explain everything about the hostel, city and tours in the colca canyon. She also let her mom prepare tea for us and a super early breakfast before our tour in the canyon. The hostel is more like a hotel, with no common facilities. However the rooms are super good and clean. Recommend it, especially because of the staff.

Marina is an excellent host. She helped us found the best deal to go to Colca Canyon with a great tour and pretty cheap. She also gave us a full breakfast early morning before the tour and arranged our lugagge. This is a really good place to stay if you are thinking of going to Colca. She will pick you up at the bus station.

Clean rooms and an amazing hostess! We were given a heater n our room which was appreciated! The shower could have been hotter but it's to be expected in Peru! This place is a wonderful and cozy place. The owner is amazing and the breakfast is great. THE place to stay in Chivay.

This has to be the place to stay in Chivay. Bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas are scrupulously clean; the mattresses are firm; the hot water works; and Clemente and his wife are among the friendliest and most hostel managers you will meet. I stayed off-season and agreed that I would have breakfast in the village rather than in the hostel so I can't comment on that. It's also the reason why I gave a lower score for 'Atmosphere' as I was the only one there.

Nice & warm & clean. Helpful staff with a really vice atmosphere. Good size rooms with very confortable beds. The Heather in the room was great for the cold early morning start. Really good wholesome food served at all meals & lots of it.
KOLLAWAS HOME INN HOSTEL is in a good location to town. We both enjoyed our stay here.
